Valencia 101

VALENCIA is located at the southeasternmost tip of Spain and is part of the Costa del Azahar, a miles-long strip of hundreds of beaches. With that, Valencia is one of the summer destinations in western Europe – its temperature reaching as high as 22 degrees Celsius in September. That may not be as high as the temperature in the tropics but Valencia is already an alternative tourism route. Aliens, particularly from the northern part of the continent, flock here during summertime to enjoy the heat which they rarely experience in their home country throughout the year.

When you go to Valencia, never ever forget to taste its paella. Every March, they host a festival in honor of their regional staple. Paella is just fried rice but mixed with vegetables, seafood or meat and spice. Seafood is also common here considering that Valencia is a city by the sea. The problem with any tourism-inducing country like Spain though is that many unscrupulous locals would take advantage of the tourists.
